Without really realizing it, man has always upset the natural plant balance to his advantage. The result is either total extinction of species or a decline to such an extent that some plants necessary for our environment are currently in danger.
The Pays d'Iroise has many areas in which protective measures have already been taken. But what is the value of signs, palisades or tracks lined with monofilaments if the public does not respect the instructions given to him? When children are playing football on dunes protected, it is probably understandable by unconsciousness among young people. But when that happens before the eyes of parents without their intervention, that shows a serious irresponsibility on the part of adults, both in terms of citizenship and education. In this matter, there are no harmless behaviours because they are repeated. The trampling of a few recently planted marram grasses, the picking of a single protected flower seems inconsequential to us. But when these actions are repeated dozens of times, they fully contribute to the disappearance of species.
Like any other heritage, our plant heritage also deserves our respect.
